Capable.

Fast and Efficient

Twin, latest generation, Volvo Penta IPS 600s (440hp each) have the capacity to ensure there is pace to match the grace. These 5.5 litre, super and turbocharged, common rail Diesels will have you achieve 34 knots WOT, and cruise at 28 knots burning less than 120lph combined. 700Nm of torque at idle, and 1000 from 2000 to 3000RPM is why these motors excel at efficiently propelling craft, especially when their overall mass has been significantly curtailed, such as with the Cape50

...and Spacious.

Cocktail Hour Aboard

Plenty of space to set up the deckchairs and enjoy the sunset, or simply dangle your feet overboard. The Cape50 has a hydraulic swim platform to make all watersports that much more accessible.

Luxe.

Bright and Airy Accomodations

Fitted as standard with two doubles (Master up for’ard), and the one head to Port with a separate wet stall, both the deck hatches and opening through-hull ports maximise the spaciousness afforded by the stepped sheer line. The galley and main settee are on the main deck level.

Imaginative.

Clever Features Abound

Whether it is the extended deckhead out from the coachhouse roof, drainage at the main saloon doors, or watertoys hidden below the cockpit deck in their own lazarette, and don’t forget the ingenious, ‘hidden’ BBQ in the transom coaming – a lifetime of boating has ensured the details have been thought of now, so you won’t want for anything…

Precision.

Premium Construction Methodology

Overall strength and lightness are the guiding principals applied to the vessel, after a lifetime of building and racing Grand Prix racing yachts. The hull, deck and bulkheads are constructed from vinylester, resin-infused foam sandwich. All fixtures and fittings used throughout also reflect the desire to use the best.

Captivating.

Overall Design by Angelo Finocchiaro

Taking the classic Downeast theme, then adding a thoroughly modern, European feel, and ultimately combining it all with a purposeful hull form is a challenging design brief. Allowing a plumb bow to combine with a gorgeous tumblehome, and also a carbon fibre dash takes inordinate skill, so that every curve and angle adds to the total look and feel.

A True Seaworthy Craft

Stylish overall appearance nearly disguises the muscular flare and serious chine that ensures your ride in any conditions is as good as it gets, and the spray coming over the craft is minimal.

Purposeful.

Running surface by leading Australian Naval Architect

Warped plane running surface from the plumb bow aft allows the vessel to carve through the water without the need to lift her bow skyward and dig her way out of the hole. This all means she’s on the plane early, and without the need for tremendous power. Her main engines sit near the centre of buoyancy with all her tanks just for’ard of this.
